Please note that I intentionally misspell the address in my mailing link. I do this to thwart web crawling programs that harvest e-mail addresses from Web sites. Often these programs, sometimes called spambots, collect the address to send tons of unsolicited bulk e-mail to them. I don't want such spam.
When your mail program launches the new mail message, after you invoke the link above, just manually correct the address you see listed in the "to:" field. It's just a simple substitution: replace the parentheses and the stuff inside them with the correct symbols. "(AT)" gets "@" and "(DOT)" gets ".". You may want to try a similar trick on your own site or places on the Internet where your e-mail address might be publicly posted. It fools most spambots, which usually follow rather simple pattern matching rules, and humans can still mail you because they are smart enough.
