Travel:

One of my great passions in life is traversing the surface of the earth. Thus far I have ventured to many strange places accompanied by many odd people in assorted vehicles, some safe and comfortable, others antique and terrifying. The following doesn't really include the places I have lived, or spent significant periods of time in, which include: New York City; Old Black Point in Niantic, Connecticut; Porstmouth, Rhode Island; Southhampton, Long Island; Boulder, Colorado; and Seattle, Washington. Also I have spent considerable amounts of time in the cities of Rome and Istanbul.

In North America I have traveled through many states but only stopped over in a few of them, among which the following: exotic New Jersey, brimming with adventure and the various outdoor excitements one would expect from a place labelled 'The Garden State'; Fabulous Florida, famous for Elian and certain difficulties with arithmetic; Virginia; Washington, DC; Pennsylvania; Wisconsin; Illinois; Indiana; Maine; Massacheussetts; New Orleans; Texas; New Mexico; Utah; Nevada; Arizona; Wyoming; Montana; Idaho; Oregon; Northern California; Southern California; Alaska.

I have also visited Canada in North America, but only briefly. I look forward to one day devoting the time that this magnificent country deserves.

In Central and South America, I have visited Mexico; Costa Rica; Panama; Ecuador and the Galapagos islands; Peru and Bolivia; as well as the West Indies islands of St Barth's and St Thomas.

In Europe I have visited England; Scotland; The Netherlands; Belgium; France; Spain; Germany; Switzerland; Italy; Czech Republic; Hungary; Serbia; Croatia; Slovenia; Austria; Bulgaria; Greece; and Turkey. Nearby I have visited Syria and Tunisia.

I have spent considerable time traveling in Peru, Italy and Turkey.

I spent three summers as a teenager traveling in Latin America with Nicolas Milhaus. We spent two summers in Peru. While there we visited Lima, Ica, Paracas, Arequipa, Nazca, Puno, Cuzco, Machu Pichu, Trujillo, Iquitos and other places.

In Italy I have visited Milan, Bologna, Verona, Reggio Emilia, Cinqua Terra, Venezia, Firenze, Cerveterii, Gubbio, Assissi, Perugia, Urbino, Roma, Napoli, Tarrento, Reggio Calabria, Palermo, Syracusa, among others.

In Turkey I have visited Istanbul, Bursa, Seljuk/Ephesus, Pammukale/Denizli, Antalya, Alanya, Adana, Antakya, Ankara, the Prince's Islands, Assos, Bergama, Izmir, Marmaris, Fethiye, Oludeniz, Butterfly Valley, Olympos, Phaselis, Xanthos, Patara, Tlos, Goreme, Uchisar, Amasra/ Zonguldak, Abana, Sinope, Trabzon, Machka/Sumela, Erzurum, Kayseri, Konya, Kusadasi, Bodrum, amongst other places.
